Senceive users installed more than 30,000 sensors last year – helping them manage ground and structural movement, landslide risk, geotechnical behaviour, rail track movement and much more. Systems are installed in minutes and last more than a decade with minimal maintenance – helping users to mitigate engineering risk without visiting site.
We’ve been designing, building and supporting the best wireless condition monitoring technology since 2005. As part of the Previan group of companies we are growing fast and have highly ambitious plans for the coming years.
The Role
To support our ambitious plans for growth, we are seeking a Technical Sales Support person to assist in our expansion throughout the United States and Canada.
The role combines commercial and technical activity and requires somebody based in the region with 5+ years’ experience in the Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M) discipline. The remit is to support the North American Business Development team with the more complex and nuanced opportunities that will require a more dedicated resource to consult and collaborate with a client to finalise suitable system designs.
We want to hear from people who:
- Understand/have used I&M equipment
- Can demonstrate experience with I&M specifications, tendering, bill of quantities &
requests for pricing - Have a consultative style of working
- Enjoy helping clients find the right solution to challenging problems
- Understand engineering design drawings
- Ideally has experience using wireless sensors
- Rail knowledge / Interaction with Class 1's (not essential but preferable)
Reporting, Location & Travel
Reporting to the VP Global Sales & Support, this role will sit within the wider Business Development unit and involve working remotely, with some travel throughout the region.

Senceive is based in the UK, with over 80 staff and projects across the globe and a growing number of people dedicated to international growth. The team includes specialists across a range of engineering disciplines including geotechnics, surveying, electronics, software and mechatronics – all with practical and client-facing skillsets who strive to deliver an innovative world class service. Our business development team combine a strong technical background with commercial awareness and a drive to sell.
We’re looking for a bright self-starter who is focused and driven to support our growing business in North America. The role offers considerable flexibility to the right candidate who will be expected to manage existing and create new client relationships, identify project opportunities, visit sites, give customer presentations and write proposals.
Our approach has always been highly consultative. The role will involve developing and proposing suitable solutions to ensure the client’s asset monitoring needs are met and surpassed. This will include ensuring that our delivery and customer support teams understand the requirements, and where necessary, provide active support and ongoing dialogue throughout the project.
Knowledge of monitoring techniques is essential and experience in civil engineering and surveying is highly desirable.
